Ground Investigation
Coopers provide a competent ground investigation service which determines site characteristics through desk top studies, visual assessments during walkover surveys, and the findings of intrusive ground investigations. The ground investigations are often an integral part of Geo-Environmental Investigations we carry out on brownfield sites.
We utilise a range of intrusive and non-intrusive techniques to undertake ground investigations. These include trial pitting, cable percussion boreholes, small diameter boreholes, cone penetration testing and geophysics.
Staff undertaking ground investigations are graduate engineers with appropriate qualifications and experience in geological/civil engineering disciplines, and hold current CSCS cards. All works are generally carried out in accordance with Eurocode 7 and, where required, the appropriate British Standards.
